Family Itinerary with Teenagers
(One epic week of sand, snacks, sarcasm & selfies)

🧳 Saturday: Arrival & Teen Nesting

  • 3:00 PM – Check-In
Teens will immediately decide which bedroom is “theirs,” ignore your tour, and disappear into the Wi-Fi.

  • Grocery Run:
Stock up on soda, chips, frozen pizzas, and mysterious energy drinks.  (PRO TIP:  Use Wal-Mart Delivery!)

  • Dinner Options:

    • 🏝️ The Hangout – foam parties, selfie stations, food they’ll actually eat.

    • 🍕 Mellow Mushroom – funky vibe, even funkier mushrooms.

    • 🍔 River City Café – burgers, chaos, and ketchup bottles that squirt sideways.

  • Evening:
Unpack, unwind, and let them “just check their phones” until midnight.

☀️ Sunday: Beach Day + Chill

  • Breakfast:
In-condo or grab Blueberry’s Grill for eggs they’ll actually wake up for.

  • Morning:
🏖️ Beach time – spikeball, sunbathing, and that one cousin who insists on digging a massive hole for no reason.

  • Lunch:
Packed picnic or grab beachside tacos from Loco Gecko.

  • Afternoon:
Chill at the condo pool or hit SkyWheel and the boardwalk arcades for selfies and prize-ticket redemption drama.

  • Dinner:
🍤 Sea Captain’s House – ocean views, seafood, and your teen pretending not to care how nice it is.
🍝 Luigi’s Trattoria – carbs and quiet, a rare vacation combo.

  • Evening:
🌅 Walk the beach or let them roam Broadway while you sip something strong.

🐠 Monday: Aquarium & Broadway Blitz

  • Breakfast:
🥞 Hot Stacks Pancake House – pancakes taller than your teen’s patience.

  • Morning:
🐢 Ripley’s Aquarium – sharks, penguins, and glow jellyfish. TikTok gold.

  • Lunch:

    • Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen (hello, butter)

    • Sweet Carolina’s BBQ for the messy eaters.

  • Afternoon:
🎢 Stroll Broadway at the Beach – zipline, mirror maze, shops, and a carousel ride they’ll claim is “for nostalgia.”

  • Dinner:
🧁 DinoLand Café – giant animatronic dinos and lava cake. Even the too-cool kids crack a smile.
🍣 Or go trendy at Soho Steak & Sushi Bar.

🏞️ Tuesday: Nature, Gators & Go Time

  • Breakfast:
🍩 Donuts from The Donut Man – acceptable teen wake-up bribe.

  • Morning Options:

    • 🌳 Brookgreen Gardens – art, flowers, and plenty of space for teens to wander and pretend to be deep.

🌮 Nacho Hippo – stylish, spicy, and teen-approved.

  • Afternoon Adventures:

    • 🧗 Go Ape Zipline & Treetop Adventure – zipline + treetop chaos

    • 🛍️ Tanger Outlets – where teens ask you to buy clothes they already own… just in a slightly different shade of beige.

  • Dinner:
🍔 BurgerFi – bougie burgers + truffle fries
🍣 Or King Kong Sushi if they’re feeling fancy

🎢 Wednesday: Waterpark Day + Amusement Park Night

  • Breakfast:
🧇 Johnny D’s Waffles – worth the wait, especially for the cinnamon roll pancakes.

  • Morning:
💦 Myrtle Waves Water Park – waterslides, wave pool, lazy river = no phones for hours = miracle.

  • Lunch:
On-site snack bars or grab & go from Peaches Corner.

  • Afternoon:
Chill & nap back at the condo (or pretend to nap while secretly binging Netflix).

  • 5:00 PM Onward – 🎢 Family Kingdom Amusement Park
Opens at 5 PM! Hit thrill rides, bumper cars, haunted houses, and snack stands until the neon lights blur your vision.

  • Dinner:

    • Eat inside the park (funnel cake counts, right?)

    • Or quick walk to Ultimate California Pizza post-ride for something real

🏴‍☠️ Thursday: Indoors & Pirate Nights

  • Breakfast:
Muffins, cereal, or breakfast burritos in PJs

🛍️ Final souvenir grabs at Barefoot Landing

  • Dinner + Show:
🏴‍☠️ Pirates Voyage – acrobats, sea lions, and chicken you eat with your hands.
Teens may groan at first. By the end, they’re yelling “ARRR!” like it’s Broadway.

  • Breakfast:
🥞 Dino’s House of Pancakes – the farewell feast of carbs.

  • Morning:

    • 🏄 Surf lessons with a local instructor

    • Burgers from Five Guys for a no-nonsense meal

  • Afternoon:
🌊 Last dip in the ocean or pool, rinse the sand out of...everything.

  • Dinner:

    • 🍗 Captain George’s Seafood Buffet – end the trip in buffet glory

    • 🍕 Or revisit your teen’s favorite spot (they’ll definitely have Opinions™)

  • Evening:
One final sunset photo. Force it. You’ll thank yourself later.

🧳 Saturday: Check-Out

  • Early Breakfast: Whatever’s left + a donut run

  • Pack Up:
Teens swear they didn’t bring that much. Somehow you still need three suitcases and a vacuum to get the sand out.

  • 10:00 AM: Check-out
Hug the beach goodbye. Promise you’ll return... once your ears stop ringing from the arcade.
